Amy Grant, Vince Gill to Chair 2007

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Amy Grant and Vince Gill, two of the country’s top performing artists and humanitarians, have joined Nashville’s 2007 St. Jude Dream Home Team as its co-chairs.

Grant and Gill will perform and mingle with Middle Tennessee’s first ticket buyers on
March 1,  in celebration of the 2007 Dream Home campaign which offers as its grand prize a $600,000 home in Westhaven – a Southern Land Company community located on Highway 96 West in Franklin.

“This is going to be a fabulous ticket launch party,” said Katie Mizell, Middle Tennessee’s St. Jude representative.  “We will have food and beverages, live music, and prize give-aways, and we think this will really send the message that we are serious about reaching our unbelievable ticket goal this year.”

The first tickets will be sold on March 1 at the free event, which will take place at the Westhaven Residents’ Club.  The festivities will begin at 7pm and will end at 9pm.  After March 1, those who did not attend the event can purchase tickets at any Middle Tennessee Regions and AmSouth bank locations and at American Signature Furniture.  People who wish to buy their tickets online can visit
www.stjudedreamhome.org or they may call 800-746-6713.

The 2007 Dream Home goal is to raise $1.4 million (a total of 14,000 tickets priced at $100 per ticket) for the hospital between March 1 and June 17.  Aside from the home in Westhaven, ticket buyers will have a chance to win a new Pontiac Coupe GTO along with 26 additional prizes, each with a minimum value of $1000. All proceeds from the Dream Home campaign go to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
“Amy Grant and Vince Gill have been supporters of St. Jude for a long time, and we are thrilled that they have decided to chair this year’s campaign,” Mizell said. “Their generosity, along with Southern Land Company’s continuing commitment to the construction of Dream Homes, will once again make this one of the best programs in the country.”

All prizes will be drawn at a live broadcast on Fox 17 on June 17.  In addition to Fox 17, The Big 98 WSIX has signed on for its third year as the official radio sponsor.  The station will be broadcasting updates throughout the campaign.

The previous Middle Tennessee campaigns have raised more than $2 million for the internationally recognized children’s hospital, which is dedicated to the eradication of life-threatening childhood diseases.

“We are very proud to be the builder of the St. Jude Dream Home in Middle Tennessee,” said Chris Bove, EVP of Southern Land Homebuilding.  “It’s a great honor to be working with Amy and Vince.  We think that with their help, we can meet this goal and raise more money than ever before for the hospital.”

Westhaven is a Traditional Neighborhood Development located on Highway 96 West in Franklin (www.westhaventn.com).  Constructed by Southern Land Company Homebuilding, the 2007 home is valued at $600,000, and marks the company’s third Dream Home to be raffled in the Nashville area.

Odds of winning a prize are one in 500.  Prizes this year include an LCD flat screen from Springtree Media Group, a custom golf car from Tennessee Golf Cars and Club Car, a $1000 gift card courtesy of Harris Teeter, and a billiard table, cue racks and two spectator chairs courtesy of Legacy Billiards.
