Builder of the Year Named

Nashville, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee residential home builder Bruce Hancock was recently named the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee’s (HBAMT) ‘Builder of the Year’ for 2006. The award presentation took place during a banquet and installation ceremony held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in downtown Nashville.

Hancock, president of Hancock Construction, LLC based in Nashville, has been extremely active in the home building industry and the association throughout his career, having joined the association in 1987 and serving in many capacities until he was elected  President of the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee in 2005.

“It is such an honor to receive this award from my peers,” said Hancock, who served as Immediate Past President of the HBAMT in 2006. “This is such a wonderful and rewarding profession for me and it is just an incredible experience to be recognized in this way.”

In 2006, Bruce served on the Certified Builder Committee, on which he has served since 2002 as one of the charter members of the Certified Builder program. From 2000 to 2003, he served as Education Chair, and in 2003 was elected Secretary/Treasurer. He was then elected Vice President in 2004.
