Rough Riders and Tucker Hill Team-Up for $400,000 Giveaway
Frisco, Texas – Southern Land Company, LLC, a national developer of mixed-use communities, has partnered with the Frisco Rough Riders baseball team to sponsor a contest that could award one lucky individual instant ownership of a $400,000 home in Tucker Hill – a high-end, mixed-use community located on Highway 380 in McKinney.
The contest has been deemed the Tucker Hill Grand Slam Saturday. Those interested in participating can register at www.tuckerhilltx.com and click on the Rough Riders link. A complete list of contest rules appears on the Rough Riders website. Deadline to enter is August 24. Entry is free.
A single name from the pool of contestants will be drawn on Saturday, August 25, and if a Rough Riders player hits a grand slam in the seventh inning of that evening’s game against the Midland Rock Hounds, that contestant will instantly become a homeowner in one of McKinney’s newest and most distinct neighborhoods.
“We are glad to be a part of such an exciting and unusual contest,” said Kathy Cunningham, VP of Development for Tucker Hill. “We have really enjoyed our partnership with the Rough Riders this season and we wish all the participants in this fun promotion the best of luck on the twenty-fifth.”
The home to be given away has 3 bedrooms, two baths, a superior interior amenity package, granite countertops, and much more. To take a virtual tour, visit www.tuckerhilltx.com/homes/virtualtours and choose the “Erin”.
Tucker Hill will consist of more than 2,100 homes at build-out and will contain more than 50 acres of open space along Wilson and Stover Creeks along with planned open spaces that are intermingled throughout the community. It was designed utilizing the principles of a Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND), which emphasizes pedestrian walkability, authentic and period-sensitive architecture, and lush horticulture for both streetscapes and individual homes. Amenities will be natural and constructed. Hiking and biking trails will traverse the community and open spaces, and parks and public squares will serve as gathering points for residents.
Homes in Tucker Hill will be built on a number of different lot sizes, ranging from 33’ to more than 100’ wide. Many of the homes in the first phase will have vehicular access from the alley, creating a front streetscape that is both automobile and pedestrian friendly. This approach also enables Southern Land Company to emphasize distinct architecture, horticulture and landscape design, avoiding a repetitive street elevation pattern that can occur if garages are positioned on the front of the home.
Architectural styles will draw from traditional neighborhoods in the Dallas/Fort Worth market, such as the Park Cities and historic Munger Place. Specifically, homeowners can expect to find period styles that include Colonial, English Tudor, Mediterranean and French designs.
