Twenty-two years ago, SLC set out to push back the tide of production-oriented communities and homes. The company placed its focus on traditional architecture and neighborhood design; preservation and planting of native horticulture; installation of functioning green and open spaces; town centers and commercial villages; and activation of the community through social, civic, and entertainment initiatives. The result of this effort has been the design of SLC communities that have reawakened people to the merits of a genuine neighborhood.
