Southern Land Company announces that its mixed-use apartment community at 4000 Hillsboro Pike in Nashville, TN will be named Vertis Green Hills. The development, scheduled to open in December 2017, will include approximately 85,000 square-feet of commercial space for office, retail and restaurants as well as a separate tower for apartments.
The community will offer 310 high-end apartment homes and penthouses ranging from 580 to 3,456 square feet. Construction of the 18-story residential tower will top out in March, and pre-leasing for apartments is expected to commence in June of this year.
“Vertis Green Hills will set new standards of quality for office, residential, dining and retail in Green Hills,” said Tim Downey, SLC founder and CEO. “It will bring people together, promote walkability and healthy living and serve as a vibrant center of community life.”
The newly-announced name is derived from the Latin root ‘vert’ – which means turn or convert –and emphasizes the transformative nature of the project and community.
SLC has already signed leases with fine jeweler Mednikow, upscale health-food dining option True Food Kitchen, and steak lounge and restaurant Char. SLC plans to announce leasing agreements with several other retailers soon.
