05 Jul Developer Promotes Associate General Counsel Bronte Prins to VP Legal
Nashville-based development company Southern Land Co. has promoted Bronte Prins to the role of vice president of legal. Prins will provide legal counsel and manage in-house legal staff, as well as outside services, according to a release.
Since 2019, Prins has been with Southern Land as associate general counsel, drafting and negotiating real estate, joint venture, and construction agreements. She provided legal and compliance guidance on various employment, litigation, and insurance matters.
Prins previously practiced in Nashville with Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz’s in real estate and finance practice. Before moving to Nashville, Prins served in private practice at Clifford Chance in New York, with a focus on private fund formation and asset finance.
Prins received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law. She is admitted to both the New York State Bar and the Tennessee State Bar.
Prins serves as a member of the board of directors of the Tennessee World Affairs Council and as founder/co-chair of its young professionals’ group, YP Global. “Bronte has proven herself an exceptional manager and leader who is ready to fulfill this position and provide high-quality advice to the executive team,” Tim Downey, Southern Land’s CEO, said in the release. “I am pleased we can promote from within our team for such an important role.”
