30 May Front Porch Revival During a Time When Our Country Needs It Most
We wanted our communities to connect people and help build meaningful relationships. This is one reason we revived the tradition of functional front porches; lovely places where people can gather, wave at neighbors, and connect with nature. Then COVID came along and elevated the role of front porches to a whole new level. In these times they are therapeutic, a perfect safe distance harbor, and are making a big difference for many families in this time of need. When combined with sidewalks, parks and vistas, they are powerful. I hope you will enjoy the following story from the University of North Carolina about the Front porch revival and the role porches are playing during this COVID saga.
