Nashville, Tennessee-based Southern Land Co. is developing a 12-story, 329-unit apartment building on the southeast corner of 5th and Spring Garden streets in Northern Liberties. The $161 million project is expected to be delivered in fall 2024. Southern Land Co. received a $40 million C-PACE loan from Nuveen Green Capital, a financing mechanism that allows developers to receive favorable loan terms in exchange for including environmentally friendly elements in their developments.
