For on-demand training and support, team members can access nearly 500 online courses. These are tools to empower self-starters interested in continued development.

Engage

Our leadership development program, Engage, is designed to provide core development throughout the organization. Classes are instructor led and cover topics such as emotional intelligence, creative problem solving, communicating with impact, and more.

Elevate

EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION AWARDS

SLC offers top-down employee recognition programs for team members who go above and beyond in their duties or by participating in special projects.

Applause-O-Gram:

Top-down employee recognition program for team members who go above and beyond in their duties or special projects. Reminders are sent monthly to managers and recipients receive a certificate from our CEO and a $50 gift card.

Shout It Out!:

Peer-to-peer employee recognition program for team members performing their job responsibilities well or for making someone's life easier. Nominations are received through google forms and are awarded monthly at the SLC Connect.

Skube Award:

An annual employee selected award recognizing a team member for demonstrating the characteristics that encompass a great SLC employee. Award season runs from January to April.

Service Award:

Program that recognizes an employee for having served an appreciated amount of time at the company. Recognition includes five, ten, fifteen, and twenty years with SLC.

Employees are encouraged to make a positive impact and change lives by joining the Contribution Committee where we review and fund donation requests, and our employees can use up to 32 hours of Community Service Time annually to serve those in need.

    As a designer, creativity is my passion. At Southern Land I was hired to use this passion in imagining communities that make a positive difference and relate to their own unique environment.
