Michael oversees the entire development cycle for the company’s multifamily and mixed-use projects in the Southeast Regions. He has responsibility for coordinating development from planning to delivery, working with design, architecture, engineering, marketing and construction teams.
Michael was instrumental in overseeing the development of the company’s highly successful 350-unit Dwell at McEwen apartments in Franklin, TN, The 331-unit Elliston 23 mixed-use project in Nashville, TN, and the 278-unit mixed-use Junction 15 in Plano, TX. He also spearheaded the 92,000 SF Southside at McEwen Whole Foods and retail center in Franklin, TN and completed the $151M Vertis mixed-use project in Nashville’s Green Hills neighborhood. He played a key role in developing two Colorado projects, RÊVE Boulder, that contains 244 residences, 24,500 square feet of retail space, and 120,000 square feet of office space, along with Bespoke Uptown in Denver which holds 316-units and 12,000 SF of retail space. Michael is currently working on a 148-unit project in Charleston, SC known as Society at Laurens.
With more than 22 years of experience in the real estate industry, Michael has focused on multifamily development and investments. Prior to joining Southern Land company in 2007, Michael served as a Vice President with the Covenant Capital Group private equity investment firm. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina.
