New development brings workforce housing option to Center City
Southern Land Company (SLC), a national real estate developer of award-winning mixed-use developments and master-planned communities, is now leasing 32 income-based studios at Ronan Flats in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square. Tours for prospective residents are now available and move-ins are scheduled to begin in November.
Ronan Flats is a workforce housing community, meaning residents must meet income qualifications which are based on area median income and subject to change year-to-year. Currently, residents earning between $26,568 and $44,280 per year qualify for leasing. All residences are single occupant only. Ronan Flats, located just one block away from Rittenhouse Square Park, is privately managed by SLC.
“We’re excited to begin leasing the studios of Ronan Flats and provide an attainable living option in one of the best locations in all of Philadelphia,” said Brian Emmons, SLC Vice President. “Ronan Flats breathes new life into one of Center City’s most recognizable buildings and will undoubtedly add to its long history as a heart of the community.”
Located in a unique and historic building, Ronan Flats captures the charm and character of its past with its restored Spanish hacienda façade. Residents may select from nine individual floor plans offering pet-friendly studios between 400-558 square feet. Each well-appointed studio features hardwood flooring and white cabinetry; the units are also fully equipped with energy-efficient appliances, including a range, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher.
Ronan Flats also offers residents several amenities, including an on-site fitness center, clubroom, and laundry facilities. In addition, the prime location provides residents easy access to the phenomenal dining, nightlife, and shopping found in Rittenhouse Square.
