Southern Land Company (SLC), a national real estate developer of award-winning mixed-use developments and master-planned communities, has opened pre-leasing for its luxury apartment home community Juliette, located in the heart of White Plains at 250 Mamaroneck Avenue. Juliette is slated to welcome the first residents this spring.
“Juliette will bring a new standard of living to downtown White Plains,” said Tim Downey, SLC’s Founder and CEO. ” We are thrilled to bring SLC’s elevated, boutique living experience to those who want to enjoy urban convenience and culture while having easy access to the more suburban lifestyle just outside the city.”
The nearly 335,000-square-foot building features a collection of 177 stylish and sophisticated rental residences—ranging from studios to three-bedrooms, including apartment homes with den options—that balance classic design with contemporary finishes. Prospective residents can select from 24 pet-friendly floor plans, ranging from 626 square feet to 1,868 square feet, with rents starting at just $2,640 per month.
Each residence features elegant quartz countertops, LED front-lit bathroom mirrors, stainless steel appliances, custom modular closet designs, smart programmable climate control, keyless entry, in-unit full-size stackable washer and dryer, and much more. Select residences also include a private balcony or patio, double vanity, half-bathrooms, and a built-in desk or dry bar. Additionally, the community features a special collection of residences on the eighth floor with soaring 12- to 14-foot ceilings and upgraded finishes and fixtures including waterfall kitchen counters.
Juliette’s comprehensive amenity offerings are anchored by a luxury pool and spa deck that includes resort-inspired details, such as firepits, a BBQ area with gas grills, and a lawn area with games. Additional amenities and services include a state-of-the-art fitness center, a clubroom with a demonstration kitchen, a co-working lounge, a pet grooming spa, EV charging stations, garage parking, and a forthcoming Starbucks on the ground floor.
Juliette is centrally located near employment opportunities, schools, medical centers, and recreational pursuits. The community is close to two Metro-North stations, the Bee-Line, major highways, and the Westchester County Airport, with commuting options to Grand Central Terminal and JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark airports.
Set to welcome its first residents this spring, Juliette has already been a transformative project in White Plains. The project is part of SLC’s broader $100 million investment in downtown White Plains, which included financial assistance that helped the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester—previously located at 250 Mamaroneck Avenue—secure its future at a new location. Through a multiyear partnership that began in 2019, SLC supported the YMCA’s transition from its former facility—which required costly maintenance to remain operational—to its current home at 148 Hamilton Avenue, where it continues to serve the White Plains community.
Construction on Juliette began in the summer of 2022.
Design and engineering partners on the project include:
- Noble Construction Group
- DeSimone
- Bala Consulting Engineers
- Lessard Design
- GeoStructures
- Building Science Corporation
- Kimley-Horn
- Faulker Design Group
Juliette marks SLC’s third luxury apartment home community in New York, preceded by two successful communities on Long Island: Carlow Wind Watch in Hauppauge and Florent in Garden City, which opened in late 2024 and early 2025, respectively.
