Vertis Green Hill’s October Writers Round

Vertis Green Hill Presents their first Writers Round featuring Creativets Nashville with food from The Grilled Cheeserie Food Truck

October 18th was an exciting Friday night for the Vertis Green Hill community. Live music, great food and perfect fall weather lead to a successful night. We partnered with a local organization, Creativets, whose mission is to provide combat veterans struggling with post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury with opportunities to use art, music and creative writing to heal their unseen wounds of war. The Writers Round was full of raw, amazing talent from this organization.  Hosted by our very own resident and singer/songwriter, Luke Pell, we were joined by The Trailer Choir Band, Willie Shaw, Dave Pittinger, and Academy of Country Music and Grammy nominated songwriter and producer, Corey Crowder.

The plaza was full of residents and people within the Green Hills community.  While enjoying the live music, guests headed to the Grilled Cheeserie Food Truck for one of their specialty sandwiches. Along with the music and food, Creativets brought a signed Luke Combs guitar to auction for their organization. The guitar was given to the highest bidder with over $500 going to the Creativets that night.

We are delighted with how this event turned out and can’t wait to do another Writers Round in the future.  Next Vertis Green Hills event will be Wednesday, December 4th for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting. Enjoy a variety of food, cookie decorating, Ellie’s Doughnuts, Live music, Carolers, Mr. and Mrs. Claus and did we mention a real-life reindeer? This is an event you do not want to miss this coming holiday season.
