Developers bringing high-rise apartments to Symphony Park in Las Vegas

Whether it’s a high-rise in Symphony Park, or a sprawling apartment complex in the Arts District, Nashville-based Southern Land Company is betting big on Las Vegas, building multiple residential developments.

“We noticed that there isn’t any high-rise apartment buildings in all of Las Vegas, and it’s such a big city to not have a high-rise luxury, a real luxury apartment with doormen and concierge that sort of thing,” Tim Downey, CEO and founder of Southern Land Company, said.

Downey said he was inspired to build in Las Vegas when he and his wife came to the city for their anniversary, which has become a tradition for decades.

“You could go out in the suburbs and they’re very nice, but there wasn’t a lot of great, nice places to live that were close to the strip or close to downtown, to the city,” Downey said.
