Tours of Model Single-Family Home and Townhome Will Start Mid-June
The first model homes in Westhaven’s new 55+ active adult section by SLC Homes are slated to open Saturday, June 15. SLC Homes, the homebuilding division of Southern Land Company (SLC), will showcase both a single-family home and townhome in the neighborhood’s new 52-acre active adult section located at the southeast corner of Mack Hatcher Memorial Parkway and Highway 96. The new active adult section of SLC’s award-winning master-planned community is designed for homeowners ages 55 and older who crave a harmonious blend of leisure and luxury without sacrificing their engaged, active lifestyle.
The model homes will be open to the public for tours on Saturday, June 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those who attend will also enjoy live music and food for purchase from local food trucks.
The model homes provide a first glimpse at SLC’s vision for what active adult living will entail at Westhaven, including access to impeccable amenities at the forthcoming Astor Club & Residences.

All for-sale homes within Westhaven’s active adult section are designed by SLC’s expert in-house designers and architects, and built by SLC Homes. All homes feature primary living spaces on the first floor, with bonus spaces on the second floor. Upon completion, this section of Westhaven will feature a mix of 190 single-family homes, townhomes, and paired villas. Home prices start in the $700,000’s for townhomes, $900,000’s for villas, and $1 millions for single-family homes. Home sales have been robust since starting in late November 2023.
Following the grand opening of the model homes on June 15, model homes will be open by appointment from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
In addition to the collection of for-sale homes, Westhaven’s active adult section will also feature Astor Club & Residences, a state-of-the-art lifestyle epicenter and luxury rental community. This amenity-rich facility is the total expression of SLC’s passion for bringing uniquely exceptional communities to life.
Astor Club & Residences will offer 208 rental residences on five stories and a healthy mix of amenities, services, and lifestyle programming. Homeowners and residents of Astor Club & Residences will be able to enjoy a range of amenities and services—located on the building’s ground floor—including a salon, theater, library, golf simulator, indoor and outdoor pools and spas, fitness and yoga studios, pickleball courts, and more. Additionally, Astor Club & Residences will feature multiple dining options with a variety of culinary experiences for residents and their guests to savor. SLC plans on hiring a full-time lifestyle director who will be dedicated to coordinating all events for the entire active adult section.
Construction on Astor Club & Residences is anticipated to begin later this year with the community slated to welcome residents in late 2026.
The full development of Westhaven is expected to finish by 2031.
