New CTO Vibha Gore brings 30 years of experience to the role

Southern Land Company (SLC), a national real estate developer of award-winning mixed-use, master-planned, and single-family communities, has hired Vibha Gore as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As an executive technology leader, Vibha leads the IT division, overseeing development and execution of technology integration into SLC’s communities, facilities, and offices to strategically shape SLC’s technological landscape and foster innovation.

“Technology is a crucial function in real estate development, particularly when creating Class A communities,” said Tim Downey, SLC Founder and CEO. “As the digital realm continuously evolves, we are delighted that Vibha is leading efforts to judiciously implement state-of-the-art tech into our communities and offices that elevate residents’ and guests’ onsite experience and ensure our employees are best equipped to improve workflow.”

In her first 100 days, Vibha has been partnering with SLC’s business and division leaders to define SLC’s technology strategy and roadmap at most stages of the development process, from design to property management. This will allow SLC to modernize its core infrastructure; streamline processes and offer frictionless technology for better resident and homeowner experience; and infuse innovative tech into homes and communities designed and built by SLC.

“As we all have a symbiotic relationship with the digital world, it’s exciting to have joined a team that recognizes that technology can transform the competitive real estate development market,” said Gore. “By establishing formal strategies and thoroughly reviewing current and future tech used by SLC, we will be even more aligned with SLC’s overarching goals to build and manage top-tier master-planned and mixed-use communities.”

Gore has spearheaded many digital transformation initiatives, with considerable time spent at various real estate and property technology organizations, which have shaped her to lead SLC’s current and future tech and digital endeavors. Prior to joining SLC, Gore served as President and CTO for Relata, a property technology platform. This was preceded by her time with Stream Realty Partners, a real estate services company, where she was Vice President, Enterprise and Business Applications; and several years spent as Vice President, Technology & Innovation for Howard Hughes Corporation. Gore recently received a certification as an AI Transformation leader (CAITL™).

Gore’s wealth of knowledge is instrumental as SLC positions itself to continue expanding its portfolio as well as its workforce.

SLC currently operates seven active communities:

  • Westhaven, an award-winning master-planned community in Franklin, Tennessee
  • Westerly, a 400-acre master-planned community in Erie, Colorado
  • Mare Island, a large-scale revitalized mixed-use community with housing, entertainment, hospitality, and business opportunities on a historic peninsula in Vallejo, California
  • Vertis Green Hills in Nashville, Tennessee’s desirable Green Hills neighborhood
  • Auric Symphony Park in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, Nevada
  • The Laurel Rittenhouse Square, an ultra-luxury condominium community housed in the upper floors of Philadelphia’s tallest residential tower
  • 1909 Rittenhouse, a premier collection of 184 rental residences in the lower floors of The Laurel in Philadelphia’s desirable Rittenhouse Square
  • Deco, the first luxury multifamily community in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, in more than 30 years

Additionally, SLC has 14 projects in various phases of development and construction:
